DoYogaWithMe: Meditation and Pranayama Bundle

Course program

The Meditation and Pranayama Bundle by DoYogaWithMe is a 9-hour continuing education program built around three on-demand courses: How To Lead a Guided Meditation, Pranayama 1, and Pranayama 2. The bundle is designed to enrich the practice and teaching of pranayama and meditation, and is eligible for Yoga Alliance CE credit.

This bundle is intended for registered yoga teachers and serious practitioners who want to deepen their skill in teaching breath and meditation practices. It is offered as continuing education through Yoga Alliance, so it assumes an existing yoga foundation and is most useful for teachers seeking to hold space for the more subtle, mindfulness-based aspects of yoga.

Across the three component courses you build a step-by-step toolkit for teaching pranayama and guided meditation. How To Lead a Guided Meditation covers the basics of meditation and walks through the principles needed to design and deliver an effective guided meditation. Pranayama 1 cultivates a deeper appreciation for the power of the breath, introduces several pranayama techniques, and teaches you to lead a simple breath practice. Pranayama 2 expands on that foundation and shows you how to weave kriya, mudra, and bandha techniques into the pranayama practice. Specific techniques covered in the bundle include counted breath, nadi shodhana pranayama, and kapalabhati kriya. Guided activities and reflective work develop your ability to hold space for students during yoga’s more subtle mindfulness practices.

The bundle is led by Rachel Scott, an E-RYT 500 teacher trainer and professional instructional designer with over twenty years of teaching experience, who designed the program and brings deep experience practicing and teaching pranayama. Co-teacher David Procyshyn, founder of DoYogaWithMe, contributes the meditation work, drawing on decades of using mindfulness techniques to address stress and anxiety.

The format is fully self-paced and on-demand. The three component courses are delivered through pre-recorded presentations, lectures, and reflective activities that you can work through on your own schedule, with lifetime access so you can return to the material as often as you like. Quizzes within each course confirm that key concepts have landed, and each completed course unlocks its own completion certificate.

I want to share how grateful I am to all the team for making this course such a positive experience. I have learned so much and my confidence and teaching ability have rocketed. I now teach more than once a week and my student base is growing. The amount if support I have received from faculty throughout the course has been superb. Special mention to Rachel. Her teaching style is excellent, and her enthusiasm infectious. This is a fine lineage to come from.

I am currently enrolled in DoYogaWithMe’s teacher training. I love how knowledgeable and approachable the instructors are. Not only do the teachers have so much valuable information to offer, they are very open to answering questions from students; it’s clear the instructors leading this training love what they do and want to help spread the awesomeness that yoga has to offer! I am already a certified yoga teacher, but I chose to do this training because I knew how beneficial it would be for my personal growth and improvement as both a student and a teacher.

As a corporate executive, there would be no other way for me to pursue a deeper connection with my yoga practice than online. I anticipated that I would have to proceed at a rather jagged pace and that has proven to be the case. This allows me to fit in the training in accord with my very demanding schedule, even on vacation. DYWM YTT is of the highest caliber of educational programming and all of the presenters are superior instructors. It occurs to me that this is the very definition of yin/yang: the ancient art of yoga being offered using the most modern technology.

After each course, I can't get to the next one fast enough! Each lesson features the different teaching styles of the different instructors and the very unique and dynamic ways they connect with us through videos and e-communications. I am so certain I am in a learning community that wants me to practice yoga in the most intelligent way possible; and that I am in a learning community that is going to make sure I teach yoga in the most intelligent way possible. Do Yoga with Me is a fun, skillful and thoroughly encouraging learning community.

The YTT is a fabulous program. The training materials are well organized and thorough. Any of my questions and technical issues were answered and resolved quickly. The physical practice is accessible and I feel like my practice will deepen with the new challenges. I couldn't be happier with how this is going with DYWM and grateful for the staff's efforts in creating this program. I'm looking forward to the retreat.
