DoYogaWithMe: Yoga Philosophy Bundle

Course program

The Continuing Education Bundle: Yoga Philosophy by DoYogaWithMe brings together six online philosophy courses into a single program covering the historical, textual, and energetic foundations of yoga. The bundle is designed as Yoga Alliance approved continuing education for working teachers who want to deepen their understanding of the tradition they teach.

This bundle is built for yoga teachers and serious practitioners who already have a foundation in yoga and want to study its philosophy in greater depth. Yoga Alliance continuing education credit assumes an existing teaching credential, so the bundle suits Registered Yoga Teachers expanding their CE hours and dedicated practitioners ready to engage with classical texts and the subtle body in a structured way.

The bundle pairs textual study, historical context, and energetic anatomy across six courses and 302 lessons. An Overview of Yoga History covers yoga across major eras, giving a context for how the tradition has evolved over more than 1,700 years. Three sequential courses work through Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras, examining the sutras chapter by chapter and connecting them to teaching and daily life.

Introduction to the Subtle Body covers the koshas, nadis, and the broader Ayurvedic framework for understanding energy in the body. Introduction to the Chakras then takes the chakra system in depth, mapping each energy center to its qualities, related practices, and applications in teaching. Across all six courses, content is delivered through lectures, interactive presentations, and activities meant to translate the philosophy into practical insight for the mat and the classroom.

The bundle is taught by three E-RYT 500 faculty registered as Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Providers. Tracey Noseworthy leads the philosophy curriculum and brings a Janet Stone RYT 500 specialization in philosophy. Fiji McAlpine, director of development at DoYogaWithMe, teaches the chakra material. Rachel Scott, the program’s instructional designer, holds an MSc in Instructional Systems and is the author of six books on yoga.

The format is fully self-paced and on-demand. Students get lifetime access to all six courses and can move through 302 lessons at their own pace. Learning is delivered through video lectures, interactive presentations, and activities, with quizzes built in to check comprehension. The pay-in-full option includes access to a cohort community for connecting with other students, and faculty respond quickly to questions.

I want to share how grateful I am to all the team for making this course such a positive experience. I have learned so much and my confidence and teaching ability have rocketed. I now teach more than once a week and my student base is growing. The amount if support I have received from faculty throughout the course has been superb. Special mention to Rachel. Her teaching style is excellent, and her enthusiasm infectious. This is a fine lineage to come from.

I am currently enrolled in DoYogaWithMe’s teacher training. I love how knowledgeable and approachable the instructors are. Not only do the teachers have so much valuable information to offer, they are very open to answering questions from students; it’s clear the instructors leading this training love what they do and want to help spread the awesomeness that yoga has to offer! I am already a certified yoga teacher, but I chose to do this training because I knew how beneficial it would be for my personal growth and improvement as both a student and a teacher.

As a corporate executive, there would be no other way for me to pursue a deeper connection with my yoga practice than online. I anticipated that I would have to proceed at a rather jagged pace and that has proven to be the case. This allows me to fit in the training in accord with my very demanding schedule, even on vacation. DYWM YTT is of the highest caliber of educational programming and all of the presenters are superior instructors. It occurs to me that this is the very definition of yin/yang: the ancient art of yoga being offered using the most modern technology.

After each course, I can't get to the next one fast enough! Each lesson features the different teaching styles of the different instructors and the very unique and dynamic ways they connect with us through videos and e-communications. I am so certain I am in a learning community that wants me to practice yoga in the most intelligent way possible; and that I am in a learning community that is going to make sure I teach yoga in the most intelligent way possible. Do Yoga with Me is a fun, skillful and thoroughly encouraging learning community.

The YTT is a fabulous program. The training materials are well organized and thorough. Any of my questions and technical issues were answered and resolved quickly. The physical practice is accessible and I feel like my practice will deepen with the new challenges. I couldn't be happier with how this is going with DYWM and grateful for the staff's efforts in creating this program. I'm looking forward to the retreat.
