Get Living: Breathwork Facilitator Certification

Course program

Breathwork Facilitator Certification by Get Living is a 200-hour online program that trains students to guide breathwork sessions for individual clients and groups. It combines breathing science, trauma-informed facilitation, and practitioner business skills, drawing on a range of techniques from daily pranayama to deeper journey modalities.

The program is for beginners with no prior breathwork experience or formal credentials, anyone drawn to healing work, practitioners from adjacent fields wanting to add breathwork to their offerings, people considering a career change into somatic or energy-based healing, and those seeking a structured path from personal practice to professional facilitation.

The curriculum is organized into ten modules. Early modules cover personal healing foundations including inner child work, shadow work, and the history, benefits, and contraindications of breathwork. Students then study the anatomy and physiology of the respiratory and nervous systems, alongside connective tissue and energetic models of the body.

Subsequent modules introduce more than 50 breathing techniques, beginning with daily practices such as pranayama, box breathing, and 4-7-8 breathing, and progressing to facilitation of deeper journey modalities including holotropic, rebirth, somatic, shamanic, and vivation breathwork. Dedicated lessons address holding space in one-on-one and group settings, music, aromatherapy, and energy work.

The program also includes trauma-informed coaching — covering the impact of trauma, safe facilitation strategies, and resilience building — and a business and legalities module on structuring a practice, ethics, and sustainability. Bonus content includes a manifestation-focused masterclass, a marketing and business accelerator, and a self-healing transformation course.

The program is led by Jana, a certified physiologist, health coach, and life coach who began teaching breathwork after experiencing its effects on her own healing and has since completed multiple breathwork certifications and integrated additional healing modalities into her curriculum.

The format is hybrid. Students work through the ten self-paced modules on their own schedule and attend weekly live lectures and monthly group breathwork sessions led by Jana or other facilitators. Students have one year of full platform access, with typical completion reported at three to six months. Certification requires 200 core training hours, 15 hours of attending live group classes, and 15 hours leading one-on-one or group sessions, alongside a final assessment. A private facilitator community supports peer learning during and after the program.
