iPEC: Health and Wellness Coach Certification Training Program

Course program

The Health and Wellness Coach Certification Training Program by iPEC is an ICF-accredited certification rooted in iPEC’s proprietary Core Energy Coaching methodology. Over 7-10 months, students earn two distinct credentials and learn to coach clients toward holistic well-being across the physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual dimensions of health.

This program is open to adults pursuing a career in health and wellness coaching, as well as professionals adding coaching to existing roles in healthcare, HR, or organizational leadership. No prior coaching credentials or specific prerequisites are required. iPEC presents the path as suitable for career changers, aspiring coaches, and leaders who want a recognized coaching credential alongside a wellness focus.

The curriculum centers on iPEC’s Core Energy Coaching methodology and the Energy Leadership framework. Students learn the coaching fundamentals that, in iPEC’s words, “shift clients from functional to thriving,” along with how to administer the Energy Leadership Index (ELI) assessment — a research-backed tool that measures how a client experiences the world and shows up energetically, particularly under stress.

The program covers coaching skills for holistic well-being across five dimensions: physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual. Students also build practical coaching competencies through live training modules, six one-on-one mentor coaching sessions with ICF-credentialed coaches, and access to a resource library with over 200 downloadable assignments and exercises. Optional access to the SCOPE Mobile Assessment App is also included.

The program is taught by iPEC’s lead trainer team, all of whom are described by the school as “masters of the Core Energy Coaching curriculum.” Trainers hold iPEC’s Certified Professional Coach credential, and many additionally hold the Energy Leadership Index Master Practitioner designation and ICF Professional Certified Coach (PCC) or Master Certified Coach (MCC) credentials.

The format is hybrid. Students attend three live, interactive training modules of three days each, spaced approximately three months apart, with in-person or virtual attendance options and midweek or weekend scheduling. Between modules, students complete self-study, attend live webinars, and engage in practical skill-building. The full program runs 7-10 months and includes six one-on-one mentor coaching sessions with ICF-credentialed coaches for real-time feedback on skill development.
