The curriculum is organized in three parts. The first, Introduction to Astrology, covers the history of astrology, the major schools of thought, and Kathryn’s own perspective on how astrology can be applied in everyday life.
The second part, Core Concepts in Astrology, is the practical heart of the course. Students learn how to generate a personalized birth chart at no cost, then work through the zodiac signs and their archetypes, the four chart angles, the twelve houses and the life areas they describe, and the planets with their specific energies — for example, Mars as action and Jupiter as expansion. The elements, qualities, and polarities of each sign are woven through this section.
The third part, Advanced Astrology Concepts, introduces the dynamic layer of chart reading: aspects, transits, and progressions. Students learn how planets relate to each other, how current planetary movements activate points in the natal chart, and how progressed positions reflect personal evolution over time. The focus throughout is on theory and chart literacy rather than in-depth individual placement analysis.
