Kyle Weiger: 4 Essential Handstand Elements

Course program

4 Essential Handstand Elements is a self-paced online handstand program by Kyle Weiger, built specifically for adults working toward their first freestanding 10-second hold. The course teaches a four-part framework — movement, shape, strength, and balance — designed to replace the kicking-up-to-the-wall cycle with a systematic skill progression.

This course is for adult beginners who are stuck at the wall or feel their handstand practice isn’t progressing. It is designed for adults with no prior inversion experience, busy schedules, and no gymnastics background. Students typically range from their twenties through their sixties and may come from yoga, fitness, or strength training backgrounds.

The curriculum is organized into four core elements. Element 1 focuses on movement and learning to control your legs. Element 2 addresses shape, including fixing the common banana back position. Element 3 builds the shoulder, wrist, and arm strength needed to hold weight overhead without shaking. Element 4 teaches balance, taking students from two-second holds to ten seconds or longer.

A bonus full-workout video ties the four elements together into a complete training session students can run independently. Supplemental mobility and mindset videos round out the framework, and a guest interview series with Dr. Robert Adams — a Doctor of Physical Therapy and handstand coach — adds a clinical perspective on injury prevention and the mental approach to the skill.

The program is taught by Kyle Weiger, a full-time handstand coach since 2017 with a background spanning yoga, gymnastics, acrobatics, dance, and lifting. He has worked with over 10,000 students across 72 countries, focusing on adults who didn’t grow up in gymnastics. Dr. Robert Adams, PT, DPT, OCS appears as a guest interviewee, bringing five years of physical therapy practice and ten years of handstand training to the clinical portions of the course.

The format is fully self-paced. Students get lifetime access to all course videos, the 28-day training guide PDF, the member’s area for progress tracking, and the supplemental and bonus content. Kyle offers a 28-day structured schedule for those who want a guided path, and a flexible DIY option for students who prefer to integrate the videos into an existing routine. All content is accessible on desktop, laptop, or mobile.
