Loka Yoga School: 100-Hour Internationally Certified Course

Course program

The 100-Hour Internationally Certified Course by Loka Yoga School is an advanced yoga teacher training delivered as a 10-day retreat-style immersion in Kedungu, Bali. Yoga Alliance accredited under YACEP for 70 continuing education hours, it is designed as a refresher and next step for teachers who have already completed a 200-hour certification.

This training is for students who hold a 200-hour yoga teacher certification and want to deepen their practice, strengthen their teaching confidence, and broaden their style vocabulary. It suits new teachers feeling unsure after their 200hr, experienced teachers adding specialisations, and practitioners who have been studying yoga for a while and want to refresh and advance.

The curriculum spans advanced asana, pranayama, and meditation, alongside a full daily two-hour practice. Students study Yoga Anatomy, Physiology, and Biomechanics as a daily class on the mat, and sit with Yoga Humanities and Philosophy rooted in the Yamas, Niyamas, and the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. Techniques, Training, and Practice sessions cover sequencing, cueing, hands-on adjustments and corrections, and the Four Principles of Teaching.

The program includes Yoga Nidra certification, three Yoga Mechanics workshops, a Public Speaking Secrets workshop, Kundalini Yoga classes, Ashtanga Yoga classes, Ecstatic Dance, Light Energy Activation, mantra chanting, Kirtan and Bhajans, and Ayurveda cleansing kriyas. Asana work extends across Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin Yoga, Power Yoga, Yin and Yang, Mandala Flow, and Acro Yoga. The Yoga Professional Essentials block covers the business of yoga — marketing, networking, and building a career in the industry.

The program is led by the Loka Yoga School team of six expert professional teachers — including Taryn, Yann, Alka, Stella, and Deva — who have managed and taught yoga classes, specialised workshops, and studios around the world. Their backgrounds span yogic lifestyles lived and studied in India, Bali, South Africa, Australia, and Europe.

The format is an in-person retreat immersion in Bali. A typical day runs from 07:00 to 18:30, with morning practice, anatomy, techniques and training, philosophy, professional essentials, and an evening stretch and release class. The venue is a glasshouse yoga shala surrounded by rice fields near Kedungu beach. Students teach a complete class and receive structured feedback as part of the practicum.

I recently completed this breathwork course, and I genuinely found it to be a very valuable and informative experience. The content was presented in a clear, structured, and easy-to-follow way, which made even more complex concepts feel approachable and grounded. I appreciated how the course balanced both theory and practical application, allowing me to not only understand why breathwork works, but also how to use it effectively and safely.

Bang for your buck! This course is so rich in knowledge and practical learning techniques. I will be learning over and over as I practice these pranayamas in a deeper spiritual way. Yann and Taryn are very clear and compassionate in their sharing of the lessons.

Having done multiple online courses, this one stood out for its depth and practicality. The teaching section was phenomenal. I loved the anatomy, the guided sessions, and how I now truly understand the breath.

This course exceeded every expectation. I thought I was just filling in gaps — but I walked away with a complete, embodied understanding. I finally feel ready to guide others in a safe, informed way. The value is unmatched.

Brilliant course! The course is well structured into bite size chunks to navigate at your own pace. The anatomy component is quite detailed, even though considered relatively basic, and it was a great addition to the course, to offer the physiological and scientific aspect of breathwork efficacy. Both Taryn and Yann are knowledgeable instructors.
