The curriculum is organized as twelve chapters totaling three hours and six minutes. After an opening Meet Your Instructor session, Perel works through Developing Self-Awareness, Developing Empathy, and Establishing Boundaries as the foundations of relational presence. The middle chapters move into Understanding Power Dynamics and Identifying Roles in Relationships, examining how implicit positions shape how people show up with one another.
The second half of the course is devoted to specific relational skills. How to Have Difficult Conversations and Understanding and Resolving Conflict address moments of friction directly. Effective Listening for Better Communication and Avoiding Miscommunication focus on the mechanics of attention and language. The class closes with Building Trust and Cultivating Intimacy, framing trust and intimacy as outcomes of consistent relational practice rather than fixed states. Each lesson runs roughly thirteen to twenty minutes and is designed to be revisited as situations arise.
