Meditation Teacher Collective: Vedic Meditation Mastery

Course program

Vedic Meditation Mastery by Meditation Teacher Collective is a self-paced online course that draws on the Vedic tradition to deepen personal meditation practice and prepare students for advanced teacher training. It can be taken as a standalone study program or as the Level 2 progression after the 200-Hour Online Meditation Teacher Training.

Experienced meditators who want to move beyond basic technique into Vedic philosophy, Sanskrit study, and subtle practice, and those preparing for Vedic Meditation Teacher Training.

The curriculum spans four modules across roughly twelve weeks, though students are free to move more slowly. Early lessons cover asana, pranayama, abhyanga, daily kriyas, and an introduction to rounding, alongside the first steps in Sanskrit and Devanagari script. Students also explore Ayurveda, the doshas, and self-pulse diagnosis, and examine the brain, the biochemistry of stress, and the process of uncoiling trauma.

Middle modules turn to theories of cosmogenesis, the emergence of duality, Vedic trinities, and the seven states of consciousness — including techniques and benchmark experiences for each state. Students study karma and dharma, the path of the heart, and the development of the subtle senses, including work with dharana, dhyana, and samadhi as described by Patanjali.

The final module is organised around five sutra sets. Each set includes an introduction, a sutra meditation, and in-depth study, giving students a structured way to experience the sutras as living practice rather than theory.

The course is co-created by Charlie Knoles and Liddy Arens, co-founders of The Veda Center. Charlie is a Vedic Meditation teacher who has taught over 10,000 people to meditate and whose work has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, and MindBodyGreen. Liddy integrates yoga, Ayurveda, cognitive behavioural therapy, and hypnotherapy into her teaching, with a particular focus on fertility, pregnancy, and postpartum support.

The format is self-paced online study, built around readings, video lessons, and exercises in critical thought, memorisation, ethics, and subtle perception. Students can move as quickly as twelve weeks or stretch the program over a longer period. One-to-one sessions and group coaching are available to support the practice, and the amount of hands-on training adapts to each student’s needs.
