The curriculum spans twelve modules. You begin with the history, theory, and science of meditation, including brainwaves, techniques, and how to develop and refine a personal practice. From there you study the psychological and physiological causes and effects of stress, and practise styles including chakra, concentrative, and mindfulness meditation. Further modules explore the foundations of human happiness, subconscious reprogramming, and tools for healing such as positive thinking, affirmations, journaling, and movement meditation.
The teaching half of the program covers leading guided meditations, talking to groups, creating safe environments, and working with specific groups including teenagers, seniors, people with disabilities, and corporate clients. You also learn holistic counselling and coaching skills for meditation teachers, class and workshop design, teaching online via Zoom, and the practical side of running a small wellbeing business, including ethics, customer service, marketing, and branding.
