Mindful Store: Mindful Yoga Foundations Course

Course program

Mindful Yoga Foundations is a self-paced course from Mindful Store, the e-commerce arm of Mindful magazine. Led by Jillian Pransky, the program weaves meditation, guided asana, and relaxation practices into a structured introduction to mindful yoga. The emphasis is on grounding, presence, and releasing tension rather than physical performance.

This course is for students who want to bring more mindfulness into their yoga practice or use yoga to support their meditation. No prior experience is required. It suits beginners looking for an accessible entry point, as well as ongoing practitioners who want a gentler, body-friendly companion to their meditation practice and tools for true relaxation.

The curriculum is organized in four modules and twenty instructor-led yoga videos. Module 1 focuses on grounding, building a felt sense of stability through the body and breath. Module 2 explores being present, with practices for arriving in the moment and opening attention. Module 3 addresses releasing tension, offering essential tools for true relaxation through breath and posture. Module 4 turns to creating space, integrating simple yoga postures and routines into a daily mindfulness practice. Across the course, students learn to use the breath to release tension, cultivate groundedness and stability, become more open and present in everyday life, and weave mindfulness into the physical practice of yoga.

The course is led by Jillian Pransky, a certified yoga therapist and mindfulness teacher and the author of Deep Listening: A Healing Practice to Calm Your Body, Clear Your Mind and Open Your Heart. A student of Pema Chödrön’s work since 1998, Jillian teaches retreats, teacher trainings, and restorative workshops both in person and on Zoom for students around the world.

The format is fully self-paced. After enrollment, students access twenty instructor-led yoga videos organized across four topic-based modules. There are no live sessions or fixed schedule—you move through the material at your own pace. The course is delivered through Mindful Online Learning and is paired with the broader Mindful Store catalog of guided meditations and mindfulness resources.
