The curriculum is organized into 16 equal chapters covering four styles of yoga, with 30 full-length classes and 124 in-depth pose workshops that explore variations, modifications, and prop use. Applied yoga anatomy spans more than 20 hours, addressing human uniqueness, body systems, fascia, meridians, and modifications for special populations including pregnancy, seniors, and common chronic conditions.
Philosophy and wisdom texts are studied in depth, including six full lectures on the Yoga Sutras, the Bhagavad Gita, the Four Margas, Tantra, and the history of yoga, alongside a Sanskrit flashcard set with audio. Breathwork and meditation sections introduce 13 pranayama techniques and 10 meditation practices with science-based instruction.
Teaching skills are woven throughout: verbal cueing methodology, sequencing workshops, hands-on assists, demonstration structure, observation and student assessment, and business fundamentals for a yoga career. Students also study the koshas, chakras, and professional ethics.
