My Vinyasa Practice: 200-hour Tantra Yoga Teacher Training

Course program

The 200-Hour Tantra Yoga Teacher Training by My Vinyasa Practice is a Yoga Alliance-accredited online program that explores yoga through the lens of Tantra. It weaves history, philosophy, subtle body anatomy, and embodied practice into a full teacher certification, preparing graduates to register as RYT-200.

Aspiring yoga teachers, dedicated practitioners, and wellness professionals who want to deepen their yogic knowledge through Tantra; students interested in the philosophical, energetic, and meditative aspects of yoga as well as the physical practice; no prior credentials required.

The curriculum covers the history and philosophy of Tantra, subtle body anatomy, and the tantric rituals and practices that shape the tradition. Students work through pranayama, meditation, mantra, and the movement of prana, alongside the foundational, intermediate, and advanced practices that support teaching.

Philosophical study is paired with practical application. Modules address the mind-body connection, self-mastery, stages of the mind, and embodied practice — how tantric teachings translate into sequencing, class design, and personal practice. The training uses a trauma-informed, anatomy-based approach throughout.

The program is led by Michelle Young, C-IAYT, a certified yoga therapist specializing in cardiac, cancer, eating recovery, and behavioral health. She is supported by Tara Cleven, E-RYT 500/C-IAYT. My Vinyasa Practice operates as a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga School and serves a community of over 60,000 international students.

The format is hybrid: pre-recorded video lectures, asana practices, written content, and PDF downloads are paired with scheduled live lectures and weekly live calls for group practice and Q&A. Students work at their own pace with lifetime access to all materials, alongside 1:1 support and mentorship. Minimum completion time is 8 weeks. Course materials are also available through the MVP School app for mobile learning.

This program helped me reconnect with the heart of yoga. The integration of philosophy, functional movement, and breathwork created a learning experience that felt both personal and transformative. I've grown not only as a teacher but also as a practitioner.
