My Vinyasa Practice: 300-hour Yoga Teacher Training

Course program

The 300-hour Yoga Teacher Training by My Vinyasa Practice is an advanced, Yoga Alliance-accredited program designed for teachers with a 200-hour foundation. It deepens practice through metaphysics, subtle bodies, advanced anatomy, and MVP’s proprietary Vinyasa sequencing method, and prepares graduates to upgrade their registration to RYT-500.

This training is designed for teachers who have already completed a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training and want to expand their skillset and credentials. It supports those moving toward RYT-500 registration, deepening a personal practice, or specializing in trauma-informed, restorative, prenatal, or adaptive yoga. Some yoga experience is expected — this is an advanced training, not an entry point.

The curriculum is organized into modules that pair Eastern and Western perspectives. Students study Metaphysics & Manifestation alongside the subtle body systems — the seven chakras, the Panchamaya Kosha model, and the pathways of prana and nadis. Advanced Anatomy & Physiology covers functional anatomy, kinesiology, fascia, and somatic movement.

Advanced Vinyasa Sequencing teaches MVP’s proprietary method for designing Mandala, Waterfall, Flow to Peak, and Fishtail sequences. The training also includes four specialty certifications — Trauma-Informed Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Yin Yoga, and Restorative Yoga — plus three additional certifications in Adaptive Yoga, Introduction to Ayurveda, and Introduction to Prenatal Yoga. Each specialty module also counts as a standalone Yoga Alliance Continuing Education course. A Business of Yoga module rounds out the program.

The program is guided by Michelle Young, a certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT, E-RYT 500) specializing in cardiac, cancer, eating recovery, and behavioral health. Michelle is supported by Kaytee Hernandez (E-RYT 500, C-IAYT), Tara Cleven (E-RYT 500, C-IAYT), and Maire McGlasson (E-RYT 500). My Vinyasa Practice is a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga School serving over 60,000 international students.

The format is hybrid: pre-recorded video lectures, asana practices with Michelle, written content, and PDF downloads are paired with live weekend lectures via Zoom (Saturdays and Sundays, recorded for those who can’t attend) and over 15 weekly office hours with lead trainers and the peer support team. Students work at their own pace with a minimum completion time of 10 weeks, lifetime access to all materials, and 1:1 mentorship throughout. Course materials are also accessible via the MVP School App.

This Viniyoga training exceeded every expectation I had. I loved how each lesson emphasized personalization and adapting yoga to the individual. I now feel confident offering sequences that truly meet my students where they are.

As someone who wanted a more therapeutic approach to yoga, this training was exactly what I needed. The instruction is clear, compassionate, and deeply informed by the Viniyoga tradition. I gained practical tools for working with different bodies and abilities, learned mindful pacing.

This program helped me reconnect with the heart of yoga. The integration of philosophy, functional movement, and breathwork created a learning experience that felt both personal and transformative. I've grown not only as a teacher but also as a practitioner.
