My Vinyasa Practice: Accredited 200 Hour Online Yoga Teacher Training

Course program

The Accredited 200 Hour Online Yoga Teacher Training by My Vinyasa Practice is a Yoga Alliance-approved, self-paced program rooted in accessibility, affordability, and trauma-informed teaching. It prepares students worldwide to teach with confidence and register as RYT-200, while honoring traditional yogic philosophy and history.

This training is for students at any level, including those with busy schedules or limited access to in-person training, anyone wanting to become a certified yoga teacher, start a new career in yoga, or deepen their personal practice. It welcomes a global community of over 60,000 international students. No prior credentials are required.

The curriculum covers the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, the history of yoga, Samkhya and Vedanta philosophy, and the concepts of Dharma and Karma. On the practical side, it covers anatomy and physiology, sequencing and cueing, the chakras, and asana energetics.

Students also explore introductions to specialized styles and topics, including Yoga Nidra, Restorative yoga, Yin yoga, and Prenatal yoga. The training closes with the business of yoga — helping new teachers understand the practical side of building a teaching career.

The entire program is guided by Michelle Young, a certified Yoga Therapist (E-RYT 500, C-IAYT) specializing in cardiac, cancer, eating recovery, and behavioral health. Michelle is supported by Tara Cleven (E-RYT 500, C-IAYT). The broader MVP faculty includes Kaytee Hernandez, Maire McGlasson, Kiana Ochoa, and Leti Alverez.

The format is fully self-paced and remote. Students receive pre-recorded video lectures, asana practices, written content, and PDF downloads, along with all required texts in electronic format. One-on-one support and mentorship are included, with live office hours and weekly live calls available during business hours for questions and guidance. Students keep lifetime access to course materials and can use the MVP School App to learn on the go.

As someone who wanted a more therapeutic approach to yoga, this training was exactly what I needed. The instruction is clear, compassionate, and deeply informed by the Viniyoga tradition. I gained practical tools for working with different bodies and abilities, learned mindful pacing.

This program helped me reconnect with the heart of yoga. The integration of philosophy, functional movement, and breathwork created a learning experience that felt both personal and transformative. I've grown not only as a teacher but also as a practitioner.
