Awakening Psychic Abilities is a self-paced continuing education course from My Vinyasa Practice, a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga School. The program guides students through psychic development by working with the chakra system, subtle bodies, and meditative practices designed to refine intuition, clear energetic blockages, and cultivate a deeper sensitivity to subtle dimensions of consciousness.

This course is suited to yoga teachers and practitioners seeking 20 Yoga Alliance continuing education hours, as well as anyone curious about psychic development, energy work, and meditation. No prior credentials are required to enroll, though the CEU value is most useful to existing yoga professionals. Students need only a composition notebook for journaling and a willingness to engage in self-reflective practice.

The curriculum focuses on developing intuitive and energetic sensitivity through grounding and clearing meditations, chakra understanding and balancing, and protection techniques against unwanted energetic projections. Students study archetypes, subtle body attunement, and meditative practices for releasing energetic blockages to allow clearer perception of subtle phenomena.

The course also explores the connection between the subtle bodies and psychic energy, the role of presence and objectivity in honing intuition, and how releasing attachments supports clearer perception. Practical meditations work directly with the chakras to unlock latent psychic abilities, while the broader framework emphasizes self-reflection and mindful practice as the foundation of any sustainable psychic development.

The program is guided by Michelle Young, a C-IAYT certified Yoga Therapist specializing in cardiac, cancer, eating recovery, and behavioral health. Michelle is supported by Tara Cleven, E-RYT 500 and C-IAYT, and Maire McGlasson, E-RYT 500. My Vinyasa Practice is a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga School with a community of over 60,000 international students.

The format is fully self-paced and remote, with a minimum commitment of four weeks. Students receive prerecorded video lectures, ebooks, downloadable course materials, and access to 1:1 support and mentorship. Live support is available during business hours along with various weekly live calls. There is no fixed cohort or scheduled session — students register at any time and progress through the material on their own timeline.
