The 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training Online by Online Yoga School (Lifted Lotus) is a Yoga Alliance-accredited RYT-200 program grounded in authentic, trauma-conscious yoga education. The training blends classical yoga philosophy with practical teaching skills and emphasizes accessibility, so students can prepare to teach from anywhere in the world.

This training is for anyone, with no prior credentials or prerequisites required. It suits beginners seeking a comprehensive foundation before teaching, experienced practitioners wanting to deepen their practice, and professionals in wellness, counseling, or healthcare who wish to integrate yoga into their work. There is no minimum age requirement.

The curriculum covers twelve core areas of study. Students explore yoga philosophy and history, including the Yamas and Niyamas, the Yoga Sutras, and ancient texts. Yoga anatomy covers body systems, skeletal and muscular structure, and anatomical terms. Pranayama study includes the purpose, benefits, and cueing of various breath practices.

The asana module includes over 100 postures across nine categories, with modifications, benefits, and contraindications for each. Students study mantra and meditation through Om, the Gayatri Mantra, and guided meditations, and explore the chakras and esoteric body, including postures, crystals, and meditations for each energy center.

Teaching methodology covers self-care, home practice, cueing, ethics, boundaries, room orientation, and finding an authentic teaching voice. Additional modules address understanding the body and bandhas, sequencing principles and class themes, safety and hands-on adjustments, basic Sanskrit, and the business of yoga, including marketing, teaching online, and turning a yoga practice into a career.

The program is led by Steph Ball-Mitchell, an E-RYT-500, C-IAYT yoga therapist, and Licensed Professional Counselor with over 25 years of experience in yoga and movement. Her teaching emphasizes nervous system regulation, breath awareness, and embodied movement. Guest instructor Dianne Bondy contributes bonus workshops on accessibility and inclusivity in yoga. Online Yoga School is a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga School (RYS-200, RYS-300, RYS-500, RPYS, RCYS) and maintains memberships with the Black Yoga Teachers Alliance and the International Association of Yoga Therapists.
