The curriculum spans twelve modules. Advanced Ethics covers the yamas and niyamas, teaching ethics on the mat, and professional boundaries. Yoga Mythology explores symbolism, Sanskrit, and eighteen myths tied to posture and practice. Advanced Anatomy examines muscles, connective tissue, the spine, and body mechanics, while a full module on Contraindications addresses spinal, cardiovascular, psychiatric, and neurological considerations.
Advanced Pranayama covers the anatomy of breath, bandhas, and fourteen advanced techniques. Advanced Asana goes into drishti, prana vayus, accessible asana, yoga drills, and fifty postures with modifications and contraindications. Additional modules cover Advanced Mantra, fifty-plus mudras, meditation traditions and script writing, sequencing with cueing formulas and energetic arcs, trauma-sensitive teaching, and the business of yoga.
The program closes with the Seva Project, in which students design and teach a two-hour workshop on a yoga-related topic of their choice, with proceeds donated to a chosen charity.
