The Chakra Healing Course Online by Online Yoga School is a short self-paced program that walks students through all seven chakras — what each one governs, how it functions, and how to work with it through yoga. The course earns 5 continuing education hours with Yoga Alliance.
This course is suitable for two kinds of students. The first is a certified yoga teacher who wants to learn how to introduce the chakras into their own classes and earn continuing education credit. The second is anyone with a personal yoga practice who wants to deepen their understanding of the chakras and how to work with them on the mat.
The curriculum journeys through all seven chakras one at a time. For each chakra, students learn how it functions, what areas of life and the body it governs, and a set of yoga postures that support that chakra. The course also shares practical tips and techniques for keeping each chakra balanced in daily practice.
On top of the chakra-by-chakra study, the program includes a bonus full chakra-focused yoga practice on the mat that students can keep for their own practice or teach to their own students. Downloads for each chakra are provided as reference material to use in personal practice or when introducing chakras to a class.
The course is taught by Rocio Varela, an E-RYT-200 yoga teacher with a 400-hour Ashtanga certification and 600 hours of total yoga teacher training. She is also a Certified Holistic Health Nutritionist, wellness coach, and lymphedema specialist. Rocio has been teaching yoga since 2013 after training at Ashtanga Yoga Puerto Rico under David C Kyle.
The format is entirely self-paced online. Students move through the seven chakra modules at their own speed, with no scheduled live sessions. The course is delivered through the Online Yoga School platform and includes downloadable resources for each chakra plus a bonus yoga practice video. There is no fixed start or end date — enroll once and study on your own schedule.
Graduates of the course earn 5 hours of continuing education credit that can be applied toward existing Yoga Alliance registration (YACEP). This makes the program a fit for already-credentialed yoga teachers who need to maintain their CE hours and want a focused module on the chakras.
