PositivePsychology.com: Resilience X

Course program

Resilience X by PositivePsychology.com is a six-session, science-based resilience training package built for practitioners. Created by psychologist and researcher Hugo Alberts (Ph.D.), it gives coaches, trainers, and consultants a ready-to-deliver curriculum, complete with white-label rights, that they can adapt and offer to their own clients, groups, or organizations.

Resilience X is for working practitioners who want to add a structured resilience program to their offering. The page describes it as popular with coaches, trainers, teachers, HR managers, organizational development specialists, consultants, and leadership specialists. It assumes you already work with clients or groups in a professional capacity and want a turnkey curriculum to run yourself rather than a course to consume.

The training is built around six sessions. Session 1, The Sailboat Metaphor, introduces a framework for human functioning and its relationship with resilience. Session 2, Mastering Attention, covers attention control alongside theoretical concepts such as negativity bias and Broaden and Build Theory. Session 3, The Power of Thoughts, draws on appraisal theory, benefit finding, and explanatory styles to help clients work with their thinking. Session 4, Motivation to Push Forward, strengthens the connection between values and action as a sustaining motivational force. Session 5, Effective Coping, examines coping methods, controllability, and how to assess unhelpful coping styles. Session 6, The Resilience Plan, guides clients through building their own individualized resilience plan from the tools introduced across the program.

Alongside the session content, the package includes a six-session coaching manual, a participant PDF workbook, six PowerPoint presentations with transcripts, an intake form, a Sailboat Metaphor quickstart guide, and a separate train-the-trainer course that teaches you how to deliver the material.

The program is developed by psychologist and researcher Hugo Alberts (Ph.D.), who has spent more than a decade exploring the scientific side of positive psychology and has published over 20 academic articles in the field. He developed Resilience X as his own evidence-based methodology so other practitioners can deliver structured resilience training to their own clients.

Resilience X is delivered as a digital, self-paced package. After purchase, all materials are accessed through the PositivePsychology.com website: downloadable manuals, workbooks, slide decks, and an online video course. There are no scheduled live sessions and no fixed start date. Buyers receive lifetime updates to the materials and white-label rights, allowing them to run their own one-to-one trajectories or one-to-many programs in online, hybrid, or in-person formats under their own brand.
