Intermediate Astrology is a twelve-module program from the Rebecca Gordon Astrology School. Built for students who already have a working knowledge of the birth chart, it moves beyond the natal and into the predictive side of astrology — the timing techniques and chart relationships a working astrologer uses with clients.
This class is for students who already have a foundation in astrology and can read a natal chart. It’s designed for practitioners ready to add predictive and relational techniques to their work — whether you want to deepen your own self-understanding, read for friends and family with more depth, or take the optional certification track and move toward professional practice.
The curriculum runs across twelve modules. You begin with free will and destiny in the natal chart, then move into eclipses, new moons, and full moons in prediction. From there you study transits as living archetypes, both inner planets and the slower-moving outer planets — Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto. Module six layers in the Solar Return chart and applies what you’ve learned to a full predictive reading.
The second half opens up progressions, including the progressed Moon and its cycles as an inner timing device. You then study synastry and composite charts for relationship astrology, electional astrology for choosing the right moment for a venture or event, and horary astrology for answering specific questions from the chart of the moment. The final module brings every technique together in real-life chart readings.
The course is taught by Rebecca Gordon, founder of the Rebecca Gordon Astrology School. Rebecca is the resident astrologer for Harper’s Bazaar and a contributing member of the International Society for Astrological Research (ISAR). She co-authored Your Body and the Stars with New York MD Stephanie Marango and has nearly twenty years of experience teaching and reading charts.
The format is hybrid. Live cohort sessions run on a scheduled live course, and every class is recorded and added to the digital Astrology School portal for lifetime access — you can keep up live or work through the material at your own pace. Each module is paired with a Full Media PDF workbook, homework assignments, and extra credit. Students are placed into a four-person constellation study group and an active community group for support and discussion.
