School of Positive Transformation: Positive Mindfulness Program

Course program

The Positive Mindfulness Program by School of Positive Transformation is an 8-session online course that brings mindfulness meditation together with positive psychology. Created by Professor Itai Ivtzan, the program is structured around themes such as self-awareness, gratitude, self-compassion, autonomy, and meaning. It offers a research-informed framework for cultivating presence, emotional wellbeing, and a more deliberate engagement with daily life.

This program is open to beginners and experienced practitioners alike — no prior experience with mindfulness or psychology is required. It suits individuals seeking greater emotional balance and personal wellbeing, as well as coaches, therapists, educators, psychologists, yoga and meditation teachers, and wellness professionals looking for research-based tools they can integrate into their own client work or teaching.

The curriculum unfolds across eight sessions, each pairing a teaching video with a guided meditation and a daily practice. Session one introduces self-awareness and mindfulness through breath, body, and emotion awareness. Session two centers on positive emotions and gratitude. Session three addresses self-compassion using an adapted Loving Kindness meditation. Session four explores character strengths and self-efficacy, including the VIA character strengths questionnaire.

Sessions five through eight cover autonomy and authentic action, meaning and the Best Possible Legacy exercise, positive relationships with others, and engagement through savoring practices. Together, the sessions teach structured mindfulness meditation, evidence-based wellbeing interventions, and the design and facilitation of positive mindfulness exercises. Students also learn to apply gratitude, strengths, and positive emotion practices alongside mindfulness, and to reduce stress while improving emotional regulation. The framework is built on Professor Ivtzan’s published research and is intended to be applicable both personally and in professional settings.

The program was created and is taught by Professor Itai Ivtzan, a positive psychologist, mindfulness researcher, and author. He has taught at leading academic institutions and published extensively in peer-reviewed journals, and is the author of Mindfulness in Positive Psychology: The Science of Meditation and Wellbeing. His work focuses on integrating mindfulness and positive psychology through both academic study and direct facilitation.

The course is fully online and self-paced. It includes eight structured sessions delivered through video lessons and guided meditations, alongside downloadable resources and daily practice prompts. Students receive lifetime access to all materials, so the sessions can be revisited at any time. Enrollment also includes access to a private community and a 30-day money-back guarantee.
