Scott Moore Yoga: Waking Up with the Yoga of Sleep

Course program

Waking Up with the Yoga of Sleep by Scott Moore Yoga is a self-paced online course that explores Yoga Nidra as both a practical relaxation tool and a doorway to deeper self-inquiry. Taught by Scott Moore, author of Practical Yoga Nidra, the course blends guided practice with philosophy, myth, science, and poetry.

Anyone interested in Yoga Nidra, including those with no previous yoga or meditation experience, people looking to manage stress, improve sleep, or explore contemplative yoga, as well as existing practitioners and teachers seeking to deepen their understanding of Yoga Nidra and its philosophy.

The main module answers the what, why, and how of Yoga Nidra through ten video lectures. Topics include the origins and inquiry of Yoga Nidra, the story of Shiva, Shakti, and the Self, the koshas as a map of the layers of being, non-dualism and the “both/and” nature of reality, the role of presence, stages and states of consciousness, and the science and psychology behind why Yoga Nidra works.

Alongside the lectures, the course includes a resources module with over 20 different Yoga Nidra practices, a library of pranayama (breathing practices), mindfulness exercises, mantras, gentle yoga videos, PDFs, and poetry. Each lecture is paired with pre- and post-lecture practices so students can experience the teaching directly, rather than only studying it.

The course is led by Scott Moore, a senior yoga and mindfulness teacher who has been teaching Yoga Nidra since 2008. He is the author of Practical Yoga Nidra, 20 Yoga Nidra Scripts Vol. 1, and the 5-Minute Manifesting Journal, and writes for Yogi Times, Elephant Journal, Mantra Magazine, and other publications. He teaches internationally and currently lives in the South of France.

The format is fully self-paced. After enrolling, students receive lifetime access to all video lectures, audio practices, and written resources across any device. There are no scheduled sessions, cohorts, or deadlines — the curriculum can be followed in order or returned to as a reference library of Yoga Nidra practices and teachings. The school offers a 30-day money-back guarantee.
