The curriculum spans 11 topic areas covering restorative yoga end to end. Foundations include what restorative yoga is, its history, how it differs from yin yoga, and the role and use of restorative props. The benefits chapter explains how restorative practice supports physical and mental relaxation, flexibility, and mindfulness.
The practical core walks through 30 restorative postures organized by family — supine poses, twisting poses, prone poses, and seated poses — with attention to prop placement and student support. Practice sessions on different themes give worked-through sequences students can study and replicate. A dedicated module on teaching and demonstration covers the principles of leading a restorative class, including how to set up props, cue students into rest, and hold space for healing.
