Sounds True: The Science of Flourishing

Course program

The Science of Flourishing by Sounds True is a six-week, science-backed online course designed to help students cultivate wellbeing in everyday life. The program draws on research from neuroscience, mindfulness, and positive psychology, framing flourishing as a set of learnable skills for living with a calm mind, an open heart, and a sense of purpose.

This course is open to anyone interested in the practical science of wellbeing. No prior experience or credentials are required. It is built for people who feel overwhelmed by stress or emotions, want deeper relationships, or are searching for a greater sense of meaning, and who prefer evidence-based tools over generic self-help.

The curriculum is organized into six modules that translate research into daily practice. Students build emotional resilience and learn to respond to stress with balance, emotional regulation, and clarity. They explore practices that foster appreciation, kindness, and stronger relationships, drawing on science-backed approaches to opening the heart and deepening connection.

Additional modules focus on self-understanding, offering practical strategies for navigating emotions, thoughts, and behaviors with more curiosity and ease. Students clarify values and align their actions to live with greater purpose and direction. A final thread addresses motivation and habit formation, so the tools learned in the course become part of a sustainable daily routine. Each module pairs short teachings with expert-led practice sessions students can use on their own.

The format is self-paced and fully online. Six modules of pre-recorded video lessons and expert-led practice sessions can be completed on the student’s own schedule. The course is offered as a single online product, with the option to add a Sounds True One Membership at checkout. A pay-in-full and a three-month installment option are both available.
