The curriculum moves through the foundations of hypnotherapy and hypnosis, beginning with developing rapport, overcoming objections, and communication, listening, and questioning skills. You will study the mind model and the unconscious, suggestive hypnotherapy, and the philosophy and origin of suffering, then learn how to guide someone into a hypnotic state and use the power of suggestion to influence beliefs and behaviors.
Applied sections cover working with clients on weight loss and management, smoking cessation, meditation, and self-hypnosis. You will also learn to help clients set long-term goals, handle stress, and address problematic thoughts and emotions. Later lessons focus on building a professional practice, setting goals with clients, and navigating special considerations and challenges, plus integrating hypnotherapy into existing life coaching work.
