Yoga Bliss: 30-Hour Online Yoga Anatomy Training

Course program

The 30-Hour Online Yoga Anatomy Training by Yoga Bliss Lembongan is a Yoga Alliance YACEP-accredited continuing education course that builds a working understanding of how the body moves in yoga. It covers the theory of anatomy alongside practical self-exploration, going beyond the Yoga Alliance anatomy requirement for 200-hour trainees.

This course is for yoga teachers who want to refresh and deepen their anatomy knowledge, students completing a 200-hour YTTC who need anatomy hours, and practitioners who want to understand their own bodies more clearly. No prior anatomy background is required.

The curriculum works through the major muscles and joints of the body, their actions, and how they behave during asana. Students learn to read their own limitations in postures and cue safely around common patterns like hyperextended knees. The course also covers fascia, including the plantar fascia and practical release techniques, and how these tissues affect movement.

Beyond structure, the training explores the systems that shape yoga practice: proprioception, the role of the vagus nerve, diaphragmatic breathing, and the relaxation response. Students finish with a practical framework for bringing anatomical focus into their teaching and personal practice.

The course is led by Gwendoline Ferreira, a senior teacher at Yoga Bliss Lembongan who holds E-RYT 500 and YACEP credentials with Yoga Alliance. She designed the course to make anatomy accessible to students without a science background and offers direct support through the school’s online community.

The format is fully online and self-paced. All lessons are pre-recorded video lectures that can be rewatched, supported by downloadable reference materials. Students get lifetime access to the course and its updates, along with access to an online yoga anatomy community for questions. There are no required live sessions or fixed start dates.
