Yoga Bliss: Pranayama and Meditation Course

Course program

The Pranayama and Meditation Course by Yoga Bliss Lembongan is a 20-hour online program in classical pranayama and yogic meditation. Created and led by senior teacher Gwendoline Ferreira, it grounds the practices in traditional yoga while making them accessible to anyone wanting to deepen their breath and meditation work, and is eligible for Yoga Alliance continuing education credit.

This course is open to everyone who wants to learn classical pranayama and yogic meditation, whether for personal practice or to deepen teaching skills. No prior credentials are required to enroll. Registered 200-hour yoga teachers can also use the course to earn 20 hours of continuing education credit toward their Yoga Alliance registration.

The curriculum covers the practical and conceptual foundations of pranayama and meditation. You explore breathing waves, breath awareness, the anatomy of the breath, and what diaphragmatic breathing actually involves, then move into asana that supports a stable pranayama and meditation seat. From there the course moves through kriyas, classical and modern pranayama techniques, and meditation practices to clear agni nadi.

Further work covers chakra meditation step by step, how to combine mantra with pranayama and meditation, how to support an ongoing pranayama practice, the use of bandhas, ratios in pranayama, and how to build a sustainable daily practice. Throughout, the teaching draws on classical yoga sources and translates them into techniques you can practice and, if you teach, share with students.

The course is created and taught by Gwendoline Ferreira, a senior teacher at Yoga Bliss Lembongan who holds E-RYT 500 and YACEP credentials with Yoga Alliance. She frames her teaching around making traditional pranayama and meditation accessible to students who cannot travel to study in person, and to teachers wanting to bring these practices into their own classes with greater depth.

The course is delivered 100 percent online and is fully self-paced — you can begin and end whenever it suits you. Instructional videos stream inside the course platform, alongside downloadable PDFs, audio lessons, and workbooks. Once enrolled, you have lifetime access to all current and future material. A final written assignment is required only if you want to claim Yoga Alliance CE credit; otherwise it is optional.
