Yoga Farm Ithaca: Radiant Warrior Yoga Teacher Training

Course program

Radiant Warrior is a 200-hour online Hatha and Vinyasa yoga teacher training offered by Yoga Farm Ithaca, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit Registered Yoga School. The program builds a grounded foundation in asana, sequencing, breathwork, anatomy, and trauma-informed teaching, with a focus on accessibility and choice-based language.

This training is open to anyone who loves yoga and wants a flexible, accessible path to becoming a yoga teacher. No prior credentials are required. It suits aspiring teachers, classroom educators and school administrators who want to bring yoga and mindfulness to students, existing yoga teachers refreshing their foundation, and practitioners seeking a deeper personal practice or a career change rooted in yoga.

The curriculum is organized into six modules. Yoga Basecamp introduces the Eight Limbs of yoga, basic poses, the flow of Radiant Warrior Yoga, and an introduction to mindfulness and meditation. Cultivating Awareness covers Western and subtle anatomy, sequencing yoga classes, an introduction to ethics, and beginning to teach. When the Teacher Is Ready explores strength and flexibility, breathwork, meditation, brain anatomy, the role of the yoga teacher, and bringing teaching online. Be the Change focuses on improving sequencing skills, mindfulness and self-care, core muscles and yoga, props and modifications, trauma-informed methods, and discovering meditation. Teach Your Path covers teaching off the mat, adjustments and assists, hip and pelvis anatomy, consent for adjustments, abundance and neuroscience basics, teaching technology, and teaching in schools. Accessibility and Inclusivity addresses special populations, deeper anatomy, the business of yoga, marketing, video recording, and a practice-teaching component. Students learn to teach a sequence of 36 common poses and five breathwork practices for stress, anxiety, and energy.

The program is led by Jeannie O’Neill, M.Ed, E-RYT500, Executive Director of Yoga Farm Ithaca and a yoga and meditation teacher, Ayurvedic practitioner, and energy healer. Zara Leonard, Exercise Physiologist, CPT, RYT-500, serves as School Studio Manager and lead 200-hour YTT educator. They are joined by a wider team of seven contributing educators (Lynn Fraser, Pennee Barresi, Josh Reynolds, Jenni Ryan, Kati Lustyik, Tasha Edwards, and Shula Stern) who provide yoga, meditation, and live support.

The format is hybrid. Core curriculum is fully self-paced through pre-recorded video, audio, and PDF transcripts, with each lesson unlocking as the previous one is completed. Students get a full year of access to live components, including more than twenty live online opportunities each week: seven weekly office hours with lead educators, cue rehearsals with fellow students, and live yoga and meditation classes most days. Course materials remain accessible indefinitely after that first year.

Yoga Farm Ithaca is one of those rare places that feels deeply nourishing the moment you arrive and somehow continues to work on you long after you leave. In person, the land itself feels held and intentional. There is a sense of care woven into everything from the physical space to the pacing of the days to the people who gather there. The classes and offerings are thoughtful, embodied, and accessible without ever feeling watered down. Whether you are brand new to a practice or deeply experienced, you feel welcomed exactly as you are.
