Yoga with Kassandra: 30-Hour Online Yin Yoga Teacher Training

Course program

The 30-Hour Online Yin Yoga Teacher Training by Yoga with Kassandra is a Yoga Alliance-approved continuing education program focused on teaching the philosophy, practice, and pedagogy of yin yoga. The course is led by Kassandra Reinhardt, the instructor behind the Yoga with Kassandra YouTube channel and author of Yin Yoga: Stretch the Mindful Way.

The training is designed for existing yoga teachers who want to add yin yoga to their offerings, experienced instructors looking for ongoing education, newer teachers seeking guidance and support, and dedicated yin practitioners who want to deepen their understanding. No prior yoga teaching credential is required to enroll, though many students use the course to supplement an existing certification.

The curriculum is organized into two parts. Part one covers philosophy and practical applications: the history and origins of yin yoga, the principles of yin, hot yin, the interplay of yin and yang, the physical and emotional benefits of the practice, mental benefits, and an introduction to the energetic body through the chakras and the traditional Chinese medicine meridian system.

Part two focuses on teaching yin yoga in practice. You will study sequencing, including sequencing by peak pose, by chakra, and by theme, along with the asanas themselves, pose modifications, counterposes, and pranayama for yin classes. The training also covers teaching tips, holding space for students, teaching trauma-informed yoga, and a dedicated module on prenatal yin yoga.

Throughout both sections, students work alongside full-length yin yoga classes, bonus video interviews, and a comparison reference between Hatha and yin yoga pose names.

The program is led by Kassandra Reinhardt, an Ottawa-based yoga instructor and the creator of the Yoga with Kassandra YouTube channel. She is the author of Yin Yoga: Stretch the Mindful Way and has taught online yin yoga to students across the globe.

The format is fully self-paced. Students start whenever they are ready and move through the material on their own schedule. Enrollment includes lifetime access to the course, along with new modules and lessons as they are added. Course materials include over 30 hours of video lessons and classes, a mailed physical copy of Kassandra’s book Yin Yoga: Stretch the Mindful Way, and a 100-page printable training manual. Teacher and community support are available throughout the program.

Such a great course! This training should be in all 200hr teacher trainings or at least the advanced 300hr or 500hr trainings. It really is such an in-depth course on how to embody the live the yogic teachings.

Thank You! Thank You! Thank You Kassandra and Madhura for creating and teaching such a well rounded course on the Yamas & Niyamas. I now have a better understanding of each and how to apply them on and off the mat.

The course was fantastic, and provided me with a much deeper and more sacred introduction to the yamas and niyamas. The yoga classes beautifully paired with the particular yama/niyama and I am grateful to have had the opportunity to complete the course.

Thank you Kassandra and Madhura for this beautiful journey together discovering the first of the eight limbs. I studied these a long time ago when doing my teacher training but having the lecture and then a class plus journaling prompts really helped it sink in so much better this time.
