Strength Training for Women expert

Ashleigh VanHouten was one of the first 50 people to complete the original Primal Health Coach Certification Course. She also holds certifications in nutrition, applied women’s physiology, and strength training. Beyond this course, she has developed a range of coaching programs and seminars for women focused on physical strength, overall wellness, and a deeper understanding of women’s bodies.

Ashleigh has a background in swimming, powerlifting, and CrossFit and is a former nationally ranked natural figure competitor. She hosts the Muscle Science for Women podcast, which has over 1.6 million downloads and features leading voices in exercise and nutrition methodology.

She has dedicated much of her career to exploring and teaching ancestral-based nutrition practices. She wrote for Paleo Magazine for ten years, contributes to MarksDailyApple.com, and authored It Takes Guts, one of the few nose-to-tail, organ-meat-centric cookbooks in existence. Her second book, Carnivore-ish, highlights the benefits of a whole-foods, protein-centric approach.
