Steph Ball-Mitchell is the founder and lead trainer of Lifted Lotus Online Yoga School. With over 25 years of experience in yoga and movement, her teaching is shaped by a lifelong background in dance and holistic health, as well as her own healing journey.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor and C-IAYT yoga therapist, Steph brings a grounded, compassionate approach to her classes with a strong emphasis on nervous system regulation, breath awareness, and embodied movement. She completed her first 200-hour training with Maty Ezraty, a second 200-hour with Nancy Candea at Yoga Impact, and her 300-hour with Chris Loebsack. She has studied with Leslie Howard, Travis Eliot, Bryan Kest, and Donna Farhi, among others, and holds extensive training in pelvic floor yoga, restorative yoga, yin yoga, power yoga, and accessible yoga.
Steph was certified as a Grand Master of Meditation through Swami Vidyanand and Level One and Two Kundalini through Mehtab Benton. She earned her yoga therapy certification through Dr. Jaime Stover Schmitt at Spanda Yoga Movement Therapy. After years of studio ownership, she founded the original online yoga school to remove financial and accessibility barriers to yoga education worldwide. She previously served on the Education Committee of Yoga Alliance.
