Accessible Yoga School is the educational arm of Accessible Yoga, an international nonprofit organization founded by Jivana Heyman. The school is dedicated to training yoga teachers in inclusive, adaptive methods that welcome students of all abilities, body types, and backgrounds into the practice.
Based on the belief that yoga should be available to everyone, the school offers continuing education programs that equip teachers with practical skills for adapting poses, sequences, and class environments. Their curriculum addresses chair yoga, bed yoga, wheelchair yoga, trauma-informed teaching, and working with students who have chronic conditions, neurodiversity, or mobility differences.
The school’s faculty includes over 15 guest instructors alongside lead teacher Jivana Heyman, each bringing specialized expertise in areas like anti-racism in yoga, yoga for larger bodies, and creating affirming spaces for LGBTQ+ students. Accessible Yoga School’s training programs are accredited by both Yoga Alliance and the International Association of Yoga Therapists, and have graduated students from across six continents.
