Primal Health Coach Institute is an online education company that trains health and fitness coaches in the principles of evolutionary, ancestral health. Founded in 2016 by ancestral-health author Mark Sisson and former Mark’s Daily Apple editor Aaron Fox, the school grew out of the Primal Blueprint Expert Certification program first introduced in 2014. Headquartered in Miami Beach, Florida, PHCI offers two flagship certifications — Primal Health Coach and Primal Fitness Coach — alongside a catalog of specialist certifications covering keto coaching, gut health, women’s strength training, therapeutic diets, and health coaching in medical practices. The school’s flagship Health Coach Certification is accredited by the National Board for Health and Wellness Coaching, the Health Coach Alliance, the American Association of Drugless Practitioners, and the Health Coach Australia New Zealand Association, and earns continuing education credits with the American College of Sports Medicine, NASM, AFAA, and the International Coach Federation.
